The staff are very friendly, and they provide excellent service in English. If you're a foreigner, ask for Sam—he will handle your service smoothly and patiently

The ATM service is located right at the entrance of the bank. There are three machines for customers to cash out and deposit banknotes or coins. The layout on the screen is very clear and easy to work on it.

The branch staff were completely unfamiliar with and unclear about the account opening procedures. The appointment notice didn't mention needing a passbook from another bank. I only learned about the requirement when I went to the counter that day, and was told to go back and get it as soon as possible. I rushed back within 10 minutes, only to find the branch staff were already processing other customers, and I had to wait 10 minutes... (I really don't understand the point of my rushing back, especially since I had an appointment 🤷‍♀️). Then, when processing my documents, they told me there were other customers waiting and the system was down, so they just abandoned me, telling me to re-book online and suggesting I go to another branch. They also said the tellers seemed to waste time with unnecessary chatter when opening an account.

The bespectacled manager at Cathay United Bank's Dunhua branch has an absolutely terrible attitude. I wonder if he's ever had a VIP customer complaint before. I want him to experience that firsthand. What a load of rubbish!
