Yesterday around noon, I went to the Fubon Bank Heping Branch in Taipei to open a new account. During the process, I proactively mentioned my need to deposit money, but little did I know it would be the beginning of a nightmare. The female staff member handling my case was extremely perfunctory. To save time, she completely ignored any guidance or coordination, simply stating that she "didn't want to do it" and told me to go to a regular counter and take a number. What's baffling is that the account hadn't even been opened yet, and I hadn't even received my account number. What was I supposed to do by going to the counter to deposit money? This lack of understanding of basic procedures and this attitude of simply "passing the buck" is utterly damaging to Fubon's reputation. Such absurd service logic clearly indicates serious problems with your bank's internal training and management.
