Bank Without Common Sense –“HBL.” I have multiple accounts in HBL; one of them was a pension account that I opened in Barakahu Islamabad some years ago. Now I live in Model Town Lahore, so I opened an account in Model Town branch. And I call the help line to close the Barakabhu branch. The operator told me that I have to go to Barakahu branch to close the account. Here is the ironey: Moments earlier, the same person activated my debit card. He asked a few security questions to make sure it is ‘Me’, and then the card was activated. How asinine that with the same security questions he cannot close the account that will never have any transactions – THIS IS PAKISTAN. A nation without common sense.
Worst service ever. They’re the slowest!
Modern, spacious, & clean branch. Has a cash deposit kiosk as well. Staff & service is better than what one would find at other HBL branches.
Services are too slow. Although they try to help but the branch is in severe need of staff. I've applied for an account and was assured that will be contacted in 2-3 days to receive my account number but still in vain. Now trying to contact the branch but no number is listed with ptcl help desk.feeling stranded.
