As a customer for 15 years, I'm starting the process of switching banks. Since Mr. Martinez and Ms. Lopez left, the quality of service has significantly deteriorated. Two examples: - A few weeks ago, I contacted my new advisor (Ms. Ferreira) to request a student loan for a career change project. Unlike other banks, CIC has implemented an age limit for student loans: I am ineligible. Beyond the disappointment of the refusal, it's primarily the way the interactions unfolded that is unacceptable. First appointment: I explained my project, and my advisor told me she would get back to me soon. After 10 days without hearing anything, I sent an email. No response. I followed up, still no response. So I made another appointment. During the second appointment, my advisor explained that they wouldn't be able to finance the project (which she clearly hadn't studied very thoroughly since she was asking me for information I'd already sent by email). Une expérience client exécrable dans le cadre d'une demande de prêt immobilier, et ce dès le premier (et dernier) échange téléphonique, qui s'est soldée par une absence de suite au dossier injustifiée (et ils se réservent le droit de ne "pas dire pourquoi"). Je recommande de directement consulter les banques concurrentes, qui sont bien plus serviables, à l'écoute et surtout transparentes.
