I hope that all online reviews do not carry the same weight when potential customers are looking for a new bank contact. Ekenäs Sparbank is Finland's oldest independent bank. I have been a customer there for 60 years. Thanks to its small scale and its considerate customer policy even in difficult situations, Ekenäs Sparbank - specifically located in Ekenäs - functions as a family institution with opening hours, when you are met by a person who listens. You can be old and grumpy and still be helped, unlike the principles of all other banks in Finland. You can be an immigrant, young, without special language skills and still be helped, which is what my family and I have experienced. You can travel abroad or move far away and get into trouble and be helped by phone, which I have experienced many times. What other bank in Finland can offer such a thing??

The mortgage interest rate was originally agreed at 1%. Now it is supposedly “3%.” In reality, it is more. There will also be an additional 10% interest on expenses, so the actual annual interest rate on the loan is +13%, even though 1% was agreed. The loan cannot be suspended either, but the new changes must be automatically accepted. Of course, you can pay the ten-year interest at once and also repay the loan in full, then there will be no changes, which would increase the current interest rate to 100%, which would possibly be the most sensible option instead of remaining a customer of this bank.

First, a loan is promised verbally, but then you don't get any loan of any size. It takes forever to process the matter, even though the customer says they are in a hurry. They ask for further clarification, but then they don't return to the matter (because they have stopped processing the matter midway and without informing the customer) until the customer himself gets in touch. As the icing on the cake, the customer service representative gets angry at the customer who is speaking matter-of-factly on the phone. Really poor customer service and the housing transaction went completely wrong because of this (according to the website) relatively new employee. I hope you know how to get more training if you are so sloppy about your practices, and you don't promise preliminary loans to anyone with that "professionalism" anymore. I cannot recommend the services of this bank. Do business with other banks, they will definitely handle customer encounters and loan applications better and more

We have been customers for over 30 years. Apparently, the new owner has taken a dark path with the change of ownership. Changing the invoice due date by €50. Changing the invoice repayment amount by €250. In addition, the loan will incur additional costs, which are more than twice the actual interest on the loan, plus additional interest from mandatory insurance, which is not included in the actual interest. The payment received is €0.50, so I get money and I have to pay for it? If I don't want the money or if it came by mistake and I send it back, do I have to pay more for this? This bank collects money from completely worthless things and unreasonable amounts, which are of course free and unlimited at other banks. I do not recommend being a customer or taking a loan from here. They really rob you and you cannot back down. You will lose large amounts of money and time.
