Meezan Bank

Meezan bank is very good bank within all banks available in Pakistan, good services and fast response. Online application is very good and very user friendly.

Extremely disgusted and disappointed by Meezan bank employees of Westwood Branch Thokar Lahore. Today, I along with my younger brother went to this bank for the purpose of getting an account open. I actually already had an account in silk bank but wanted a new one since Meezan bank debit card allows online international transactions because my business nature requires Facebook ad running and silk bank debit card never worked for that but my sister’s Meezan card does. At first requesting the account opening with Mr Saad at around 3pm. He said it can’t be open today, please come tomorrow. I told him that im not free around this time and I hardly manage to come on which he said okay we will open now but you will have to come tomorrow for thumb impressions. Once again I said this doesn’t make any sense at all you’re just making it hard for me on which he replied that okay I’ll see if we can do your thumb impression in after 4pm category. (That too was said after I inquired if it says on Meezan bank website or anywhere in general) In his banking strategy he had two types of thumb impressions one before 4pm and one after 4pm. Then after wasting much of my time he sent me to another guy next to him, who took another half hour just so he can know my source of income, after explaining him 100 times that I have an e-commerce related business of sportswear brand which he didn’t even begin to understand the nature of my business. Then I explained him on his request how I get them all manufactured and what’s the whole process like. Then he asked me to show my business name ownership to him online which I showed, as well as the ownership of website and social media accounts. He then put me on hold and kept talking to a lady on phone for another 7-10 mins no doubt out of sheer frustration, I still kept myself calm. After ending the call he called another (3rd banker this time) person who then after inquiring each and everything again, told me that they can’t open my account. If they do then I have to put a commercial sign board outside of my office, which happens to be my residence since I have a office in my home and everybody knows I can’t put a sign board up there generally and ethically. On top of that their behaviour was full of denial and not wanting to do anything as well as highly unprofessional, honestly I felt like as if I went into a government hospital or a backward police station. If there’s any higher personal of Meezan bank or anyone else who can get this to their higher management then please do so. I have been hearing that Meezan bank is one of the best bank but this experience made me think otherwise.

One of the branch with highly stupid/uneducated/illiterate people. Even the branch manager don’t know the answer of basic banking queries. Complete waste of time. Even the branch atm works once in a blue moon having the same attitude as of the people inside the branch

Complete waste of time. Single staff member who is receiving and giving cash to clients. Only 3 counters there, 2 is always sleeping. One is working and at least 10 mins wait for each token Long queue at least 30 people outside the bank waiting for the turn. As everywhere, favoritism is also at its peak. I will never use this stupid branch/bank again
