- Ask for the amount in hand, not the rate. "How many UAE dirhams do I get for this?" cannot be answered with a good rate and a hidden commission.

- Airport and hotel counters are the worst rate in any city, including this one. They price captivity, not competition. Change the minimum you need to get into town.
