Wells Fargo Bank 2501 13th Avenue South Westgate

Went in a couple weeks ago to get my name changed on both of my accounts, and banker Nathan Kendall at this location was AWESOME. Super friendly, helpful, and made the process easy and comfortable. The teller I spoke with to get checks afterwards was also very friendly and helpful.

I just canceled my Wells Fargo account today, because staff lies or intensionally misleads you. I was starting to go to this location because I moved from out of state and had started a checking and savings account before I moved in the area. I am told by 2 different bankers that I will qualify for a free account upgrade, because of where I work, when I get my first direct deposit. I got the upgrade and no fees were ever mentioned and I mentioned more than once that I am doing this because it is free, but the banker did not correct me. I look in my guide and see it costs $12 a month if you can't rake in $7,500.00 or $1,000.00 in direct deposits monthly and closed my new and older accounts and went elsewhere for my banking. If I were you I would not trust them with my money, because they make theirs off lying to people.

Wells Fargo has some great things about it, but there are some things for me that ruined the experience. One of them was being lied to about exchange rates when I had some extra currency from a foreign trip. I asked specifically about the rate of transfer and the bank worker said it was the exchange rate. It might be tied to that, but the bank takes a huge cut and this person directly denied it. They also have many fees that they will hit you with unless you integrate all kinds of things, even if you don't want that. At one point a banker was so insistent about me ordering a card I didn't want that I had to get up to leave.

UNETHICAL PRACTICES! Rude employees. You have to pay a fee a month if you do not meet their criteria. I had two accounts from Wells Fargo that I closed after being a customer for many years. My advice, lots of other banks in the city with no fees. Use one of those and not a Wells Fargo.

I've been with Wells Fargo since I've had a bank account. They are always very kind and understanding and, yes they have the same tricks every bank does, but this one is the best. Also, Cody and Justin are my bros.
