Absolutely the most unreliable and unprofessional banking experience I’ve ever had. I applied for a personal loan and was promised over the phone that it would be approved within two weeks. No written breakdown. No explanation of interest rates. No proper email communication. Just empty assurances. The loan officer kept calling me every 10–15 minutes asking for documents, showing a complete lack of coordination and professionalism. I submitted everything requested, including a GS certificate, and was still told they needed to physically visit my home to file a “field report” to confirm my permanent residence. Completely unnecessary and outdated. The process dragged on for over a month with constant delays, new excuses, and false approval dates that never materialized. What’s worse? They aggressively pushed and processed a credit card for me within a week — without delay — yet somehow the personal loan kept “pending.” That clearly shows where their priorities lie. I am very disappointed with the service I received from NDB Bank. This is not the first time I’ve had issues, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. Earlier, NDB Bank deducted an annual fee that was not assigned to my card, and the amount deducted was higher than what should have been charged. I had to go through unnecessary hassle to get that sorted out. Now, I have faced yet another problem with the bank. I called to cancel my credit card and was informed that I needed to settle a pending amount of 4,000. I paid it immediately and sent an email. Then the bank requested a written letter, which I wrote, photographed, and emailed on 31st July. After that, I assumed the card had been cancelled. Despite this, I sent follow-up emails on 11th August and 11th November asking for updates, but I never received a single response. Worst customer service ever. Submitted my credit card application three weeks ago and followed up with multiple complaints to call centre also. But no positive response. If they cant provide me the card they even can just call me and inform me that my application is rejected. Till now I dont know whats happening whether it is rejected or not. Its how the customer service there at this office. Dont even try to think of getting any banking services from this bank. Really disappointed.

Mr. Yasitha Bhadrajeewa from the Credit Card Department approached me and requested that I apply for a credit card. I submitted all the required documents, and he informed me that the process would take approximately two weeks. However, I did not receive any updates during this period. When I followed up with him after two weeks, he informed me that my application had been rejected. This information was not communicated to me earlier and was shared only after I inquired. As a result, two weeks were wasted, during which time I could have easily obtained a credit card from another bank. I am very disappointed with the lack of communication and the service provided by Mr. Yasitha Bhadrajeewa.
