ING Bank Śląski 10 Targowa Praga-Południe

I came here on a Friday 4 pm to open an account as an expat. I was greeted first and was told that everyone is on a meeting, so they may not be able to help me. I don’t know who sets a meeting up on a Friday 4 pm. More importantly, what kind of meeting is more important than a customer. Especially a new customer. Someone was able to help us but she told that it’s impossible to do it on that very day. And even though I have residence card and Pesel, they still ask for more docs, such as my employment contract and my tax identification number from my own country.. I have all these documents anyway, but she could only give me an appointment for the next Tuesday. And she told me that even if I have all these documents, it’s not 100% guaranteed that the account would be open. It’s up to KYC. I left there around 4:20 and went straight to the nearest Santander bank. Arrived there around 4:30. And by 5 pm, I left the branch with a new account opened and all settled. Awful location. I needed to update some of my banking info. I speak little Polish. I asked if they speak English and said NO and the lady waved her hand at me to leave. I tried to speak in Polish and she did the same. Didn't want anything to do with me. Super rude! Why do you let people work at your bank like this!?

The receptionist attitude was very bad and disrespectful. The middle aged blonde woman at the door. I just wanted to ask for some information but the attitude was very contemptuous.

Have a business account with ING. I got there to update my Passport. They passed me around cause nobody was speaking English. In 2024 ING is hiring people who are unavailable to speak English.
