Very beautiful building by the architect Frank Gehry. Unfortunately we just learned that the building is no longer open to publi, which is really sad. Because there is an amazing interior design and people must be able to see this work of art. Truly inspiring!

Bland building on the outside with Grand crystal fountain on the inside, manned with grotesque staff.

Make sure to enter this building to see the remarkable interior designed by the late Frank Gehry (1929-2025). The back facade facing the Holocaust Memorial also shows a distinct Gehry touch.

This building locates at the very prime location next to Brandenburg Gate, was designed by architect Frank Gehry and went on for 2 years construction and completed in 2000. It has multi-functions with the DZ Bank on one side (where you enter from Pariser Platz), and conference hall in the middle and 39 residential apartments on the other side. Starting with a glass roof covering the lower atrium used as a conference hall, a biomorphic form sculpture in the middle (so called "Plenum") and on the roof top of the building was a curved glass. The nickname "Whale at the Brandenburg Gate" was given by the locals. I read in some reviews stating that it is closed to the public, I might be lucky or the rule has changed, as I was allowed to enter the first lobby, where you can take the photo of the beautiful work of art.
