I was migrated from CWB to this unbelievable unprofessional bank!! I am extremely disappointed with the process of closing my accounts at National Bank of Canada. First, I submitted a request via email after logging into my online account. I received a response 7 days later saying I needed to call customer service. After waiting 45 minutes on the phone, I was told I must visit a physical branch in person—over 150 kilometers away. This entire ordeal has been absurdly inconvenient and, frankly, unacceptable. I expected a straightforward process, but instead, I was met with constant redirections and a huge waste of time. I hope others can make a more informed decision based on my experience. And by the way they charged me $127.00 to transfer my TFSA account to a different bank!

When I went in a year ago they were friendly and helpful. Now they won’t answer the phone, ever. I’ve left 3 messages over 3 days. I have a time sensitive matter and I am truly disappointed. I sure hope they return my call soon. If not I guess I’ll just have to figure out a way down to the office. This is not how you do business.

Terrible. Huge bank that is completely empty with only 1 teller. Making this review standing in line. The 1 teller working seems to have no idea what she's doing.

I've been with them for more than a decade & they have always been good for the most part. The only reason that it's not a 5 star review is because they won't let you set your own withdrawal limits, they set them for you & refuse to allow you to permanently increase them.

Automatic debit comes out at 2 o'clock on the morning of the 15th your paycheque goes in 3 o'clock at the 15th and $200 worth of bounce charges later you are got a report at the credit bureau Go to a bank that is smart enough to figure this out
