I want to sincerely thank Barclays Bank, especially the Lewisham Tower branch in London, for the excellent support I received during a very difficult time. While searching for a job, I was unfortunately scammed by someone pretending to be from a job company, who tricked me into paying for a DBS check. I was so upset because I didn’t have a job and losing that money was a big blow. The moment I reported the scam to Barclays, they acted quickly and professionally. Within just three days, my money was fully refunded. This quick action gave me so much relief and joy — I cannot describe how excited and grateful I felt. Barclays proved to me that they truly care about their customers, not just in words but in real action. Visited Barclays, Lewisham Branch and was seen by advisor Alima. Impressed with her patience, confidence and knowledge of what I wanted to discuss. She was patient and professionally friendly. People at the second floor are extremely nice, friendly and the most important piece of information is that they are efficient. They are really helping customers and this is including Managers and to be more specific the Community Bankers are doing a great job. The people working in this branch are always willing to help the customer. But it is ashame that the telephone banking is unmarried internally from the branch as the service is not the same. Telephone Banking can be chaotic with 1 hour waiting time and a repetitious element of inefficiency.

This branch is one of the worst I have ever been to. The staff are often rude and unhelpful, the extent of their knowledge seems to be to just direct you to the self serve kiosks. They've reduced the manned kiosks to just one. The place is often dirty, I once saw an empty bottle of whiskey in the corner of one of the 'meeting rooms'. HSBC, Coop, Lloyd's and Natwest are all far superior branches in Lewisham.
