ANZ Branch Royal Bank 293 Collins Street Melbourne

It is with huge disappointment that, since my first time coming to Australia and opening a bank account under the age of 18 together with my dad (who does not live in Australia), I am now facing this issue where ANZ has restricted my account! To date, I am the sole person using this joint account. Every fortnight, I make a transfer into my ANZ account because I still want to bank with ANZ. However, when I attempted to make a transfer from my ANZ account, it did not allow me to do so. I thought it was a system issue, as this is very common these days, so I left it for the day. The next morning, when I checked my bank account, I noticed the money had disappeared. I called ANZ Customer Service and the call centre lady advised me that my account was restricted because they could not verify my dad. Please note that for a joint bank account, either party should be able to fully access the account. It is bizarre that my dad would have to travel to Australia just to resolve this issue. On top

I'm not one for generally posting reviews but felt compelled to do this in recognition of the outstanding service provided by Trinity from the ANZ Branch Royal Bank in Collins Street. Arriving from New Zealand we were fortunate enough to have Trinity assigned to us for our first appointment. Her level of customer care and expertise in setting up our Australian accounts and cards was simply outstanding. Additional visits to the branch, not pre-arranged were greeted with Trinity's recognition of who we were and making the time to deal with us regarding further requests and information we required. Customer service in this branch is great. Special mention and thanks to Trinity Foo, who is very kind, friendly, and helpful - she goes the extra mile to help! Had really good time there. This is the best ANZ bank I've ever been to. The interior is spacious and very impressive. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there aren't long queues, ensuring you get what you need quickly.

A prime example of the de-evolution of customer-centric retail. Feels like walking into a business in the process of boarding up their windows and claiming bankruptcy - all while interrogating you about why you want access to your own money. I’ve been to derelict buildings with more charm than this branch. Bring back the branch experience of old. Especially in a building with such a rich history!
