What a shame that TD is allowed to be a bank in Canada. Absolutely no regard or respect for our seniors. Cannot accomodate seniors who are home bound to register for online banking. They require the homebound senior to come in person to receive a verification code. You have options. Choose ANY other bank.
I have been a TD customer for many years and have used this branch for as long as I can remember. The experience has consistently been disappointing due to long lineups, not enough staff, and customer service that never meets a basic standard. Today was the worst experience of all and what I witnessed was racist and discriminatory. A Black gentleman in an electric wheelchair and his girlfriend were waiting to be helped before a white lady who had just sat down. He calmly explained to her that he would be next since he arrived earlier. He was polite and simply advocating for himself. Suddenly, Dianne, the customer service representative who normally assists people with disabilities, left the client she was already helping and walked directly over to this Black man. She pointed her finger in his face, her eyes wide, and said aggressively: “I manage what goes on here, not you.” Her tone and behaviour were shocking and completely unnecessary. The girlfriend immediately said that Dianne
Be prepared to wait in line for a very loooooong time before being seen. It is atrocious that they have so few tellers at such a busy location. If one teller gets hung up on a complicated transaction, that leaves only one other teller to look after all the other customers. I got my first Canada Trust account many years ago when I started working in my teens. I have been a loyal customer and have had some wonderful experiences with very kind and knowledgeable staff over the decades. In general, I would say the younger employees are apathetic and disinterested in providing service. As a bank that used to pride themselves on long opening hours, 7 days a week, they have now compromised on that to the point that I never know if they are going to be open or not when I need them. Not every transaction is suitable for Green Machine use. Do better, TD Canada Trust.
I switched over to TD from Tangerine around January of this year. It’s honestly been a night and day change. I go to this particular branch every Friday to deposit my paychecks and get some laundry change. I’ve always been treated very well, everyone is really friendly and thorough with my account, even picking out something I shouldn’t have been paying for. Almost everyone there seems to know me by name and make sure it’s a good visit every week. Can’t say enough about the customer service here. Really glad I switched.
I would like to thank the bank for the wonderful services and products it provides. I also want to express my appreciation for your respect for cultural diversity in the community by hiring people who speak multiple languages. This makes customers from different countries and cultures feel comfortable and confident in asking questions and making inquiries without hesitation due to language barriers. I would like to share my own experience as well as my family’s. My parents speak only Arabic, and I am the only one in the family who can speak English. I work six days a week, so it used to be very challenging for us to manage our banking. I often had to leave work early or use any available opportunity to help my parents because of the language factor I just mentioned. This week, my parents and I visited the bank and met a teller named Haytham. At first, I didn’t know he spoke Arabic, but during our nice conversation, he told us that he does. We were so happy about this — especially my
