Needed to have a document notarized so we could deposit a large sum of money from a pension fund into out account. Called the Indiana, PA on Ben Franklin Rd and the door receptionist/greeter said PNC would not notarize the document because it was not PNC related! Besides he said there was not a notary on duty. We asked to speak with the manager and she confirmed the PNC policy, but said if we bring the document in they could send to their team to see if it would qualify for notarization. We asked if she could make a call for the authorization, which she agreed to do. She also said there was not a notary on duty and if approval was given, we would have to make and appointment for next week. Waiting for an approval. Terrible service!
For such a large bank the phone app is not very reliable. It crashes a lot when I am trying to do an online deposit. Please fix this ap to work correctly for deposits. Thank you! Hi KC, Thanks for the response but I do it use Facebook or X.
Considering they only have one branch downtown, you’d think they would staff it. Usually only 2 tellers working. Today a line of 7 customers and only one teller. Yet someone saying hello as I walk in.
I am sadly disappointed with the lack of respect for their customer's time. I have been a customer for more than 20 years. I went into the bank to open another account with a family member. I waited for some time to speak with a bank representative. I did need to leave. So, I asked to schedule an appointment. I allowed the bank to choice a time of their preference. I returned 5 minutes early for the appointment. I was immediately told that I would need to wait as the bank staff were busy with others customer. I waited a short time more and then explained that I would like to cancel the appointment and humbly left the bank without service... for a second time in one day. The excuse of being short staffed is acceptable when you are a walk-in but using the same excuse when someone has a schedule appointment is transparent unappreciation for my business and my time. I registered for the appointment with my phone number. It would was been kind of the bank to have contacted me if the need t
tl;dr withdrawing everything and closing out my account on Monday, and utilizing my right to be forgotten by requesting they delete my data at the earliest legal possibility (Thanks CCPA!) PNC is super shady. You and your friend with the same account can have vastly different interest rates. Apparently you can go into the branch and request a higher interest rate. Mine was approved at 4.5% for 12 months. Second month in my rate was silently lowered to 3%. Only noticed as the interest was lower. Reached out and was given generic “oh it’s a variable rate with the market.” Yeah the prime rate didn’t change in the past 2 months and I know another with the same account whose rate hasn’t changed. They then suggested I could request it increased. I’m not going into the branch once a month to fix your issue/lies. This is only the latest issue with them. So many others. Only gave them another chance because a good friend really liked them. Honestly PNC has favorites and then there’s
