Maybank's XL credit card FOMO Fridays voucher labelling is terrible. I'm writing this review to share my disappointment with how I was unable to use the $20 Maybank voucher at Maybank's partner merchant Ippudo. There was no clear indication on the main part of the voucher that this voucher could only be used at selected Ippudo outlets. 7 Feb 2026: Since Maybank had given me a $20 voucher through the Treats SG app to be used at Ippudo, I decided to go to Ippudo for dinner. I had used some of the other vouchers in the app without any issues, so I went to the Ippudo outlet that was nearest to me. After finishing my food at Ippudo, I went to the cashier to make payment. Since this Maybank voucher had to be used in conjunction with the Shopback app, I proceeded to ask the cashier for the Shopback QR code so that I could scan it for payment. The cashier replied and told me that his Ippudo outlet did not offer the Shopback QR code for payment, which meant that the Maybank $20 voucher I ha

I first read in news mentioning that they (Maybank) renovated the place and I'm so excited. I finally manage to drop by and witness myself. I only sit for 15min, I feel comfy, relaxing, clean and pamper with hot aromatic coffee by Joe & Dough. It's kind of place for me to have conversation with banker in such nice environment. Thank you Maybank.

Extremely disappointed with Maybank’s Visa Platinum Cashback Card and product team I’ve been a loyal Maybank cardholder since 2013, consistently meeting the S$2,000 monthly spend for the 3.33% cashback. But recent changes have made it nearly impossible to track what counts as eligible spend—and my appeal for a one-time exception was denied twice. 📉 Poor communication: Only vague SMS updates. No app notifications. Previously eligible transactions were suddenly excluded without clear explanation. ✅ I qualified for July and August. ❌ In September, I made a CardUp payment (with a 2.5% fee), assuming it counted toward the General Category Spend. Turns out it didn’t—due to reclassification, which I only learned about after calling customer service. 📞 Even the service team took hours to calculate eligibility. My appeal was escalated but denied—despite this being my first request and the first quarter with new rules. 👤 I requested to speak with the product manager. That request was denied

Extremely terrible service. I have a mortgage loan with the bank. I went down to request speaking to a mortgage specialist as I didn’t receive an email reply from this random specialist that emailed me. Even though mortgage specialists staff are in this same location, no one came down to speak with me. The counter staff said someone will call me instead!! This is the 1st time I encounter such a service. What are they afraid of? As of now… I’m still trying to get hold of who can be the person or relevant department to assist me with my case. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
