Maybank adopts a "Take it or leave it" attitude towards their customers. They are happy to turn their shortcomings into their customers' problems. They updated their system after 13 Jan, and the Maybank system won't process payments online. Customer Service told me that they will solve this problem ASAP - that was over 10 days ago! Customer Service's solution was to tell me to do a Telegraphic Transfer, but they don't do TTs in the currency of the destination country. They only transact in 7 foreign currencies. This was only discovered after the app hung for over half hour because their server could not handle the customer login load. Upon requesting that the problems be escalated to higher management, their Contact Centre Manager Ken Tay was dismissive and insolent, and bluntly refused.

Worst app and browser design of all banks operating in SG. Unable to find your prior scheduled transfers in both app and browser. Further, there is an apparent system limitation preventing you from deleting scheduled transfers one day before the transfer date. Total b.s. and other banks are ahead in such simple tasks (e.g. inform you if there's a repeated scheduled transfer set-up, or having the scheduled transfer tab made easily accessible).

I am disappointed to receive a letter from Maybank saying that they want to close down my account and giving me just 10 days notice. I have been a customer since 2007 and no explanation was given for the forced closure of my account where I have kept 100k in deposit. I called the hotline and they said they cannot give me the reason for the closure and I have to go to the Ang mo kio branch to enquire myself. I am really shocked that banks can force you to close our account.
