HNB Wellawatte (Hatton National Bank) No. 100 102 Galle Road

I would like to share my customer service experience at the HNB Wellawatha Branch. Recently, I visited the branch to renew my debit card and, to be honest, the service was exceptional. We often hear about “delighting the customer” during customer care training, but on that day I truly experienced it. Last week, I contacted the call centre regarding another matter. Although the staff were polite, they were unable to resolve my issue , which was a bit disappointing. I then informed the Branch Manager about the issue. She assured me that she would obtain special approval and take care of it and she delivered exactly as promised. Her team was also actively involved, and it’s clear that she leads an amazing and supportive team. Thank you for the excellent service, and I wish the entire team continued success.

HNB Wellawatte (Hatton National Bank) met my expectations and is a place I would recommend to anyone needing banking services. The main problem it helped me solve was being able to withdraw money quickly as a non-HNB customer, which worked smoothly without any issues. One thing to keep in mind before visiting is that there may be a queue at the ATMs at times. The highlight of my experience was how easy and efficient the withdrawal process was despite not being an HNB customer. Nothing went wrong during my visit, and the overall experience left me feeling very satisfied.

I would like to appreciate the customer care of Mr.Kalana who was at counter 14 on 20th of February 2026. Very grateful for his prompt service with all necessary guidance regards to creating student file and sending money to my daughter in abroad. Very patience while I was getting documents from abroad then and there and during my communication with him only with limited knowledge and all. Thank you so much and best wishes. -Jegatheeswary-
