Last week, my husband, visited HNB Bambalapitiya to request a loan facility. After speaking with the loan officer, he was taken to the manager, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The manager’s room had a very unpleasant smell, and he was not even wearing shoes. He also asked an inappropriate and sensitive question about whether he is having children. he was shocked and ashamed of the unprofessional environment. Still he is thinking about it. I strongly advise others not to visit this branch. Is this the way HNB, maintains a Colombo Branch?

I visited this bank branch to renew my debit card and obtained a token from the token machine as instructed. I waited for around 45 minutes, but my token number was never called. Meanwhile, several customers who arrived after me were manually selected and served ahead of those waiting with tokens. This was frustrating and felt unfair, as the token system did not seem to be followed properly. I hope the branch management will look into this and ensure a more organized and transparent service process in the future.

I accompanied my friend today, who wanted to open an account n close her late husband s account. The Asst Manager Thanuja was very helpful to facilitate these tasks. Her team is super efficient with smiling face though they were working under pressure. I saw smiling staff everywhere! It elevated my mind. I wish HNB bambalapitiya staff All the very best!

I went to get a balance confirmation letter and printed statements, the lady at counter No. 8 was super slow being a senior officer, she took 1 hour and 45 minutes just to issue a letter and hit print for some statements - It was RIDICULOUS..!!! A manager came to ask me why I was seated for so long and I told him my requests. No action was taken. Being a popular, private bank - HNB Bambalapitiya really needs to upgrade their customer service without wasting people’s time. Unfortunately it was sad to see some officers working like state departments staff.. HNB Management - There is no point sending SMS’s to your customers asking how our experience was at your bank - what do you do with these feedbacks? Do you train your staff the importance of being efficient and quick? Or do you just let things slide under the carpet.. Extremely frustrating experience at HNB Bambalapitiya Branch…
