My helper showed me a DBS screen and said she got charged 20SGD as the service charge while sending 26.44SGD back to Philippine on Nov 9th 2025. She said she had no choice but pressed submit as there was a super typhoon there and the family needed food. She also said she was not the only one, many other helpers met the same problem. I thought it was not fair and went to the bank. I was received well by the front staff, they showed empathy while seeing the screen, asked the bank manager to address my concern, then she ran a check at the background, found it was a “false alarm”, the service charge was 1SGD, not 20SGD, she assured me if there were any wrong charges, DBS would proceed a refund. I went back home and asked my helper to show me her transactional history and confirmed that the service charge was truly 1SGD, not 20SGD. We are still not sure why it showed 20SGD when she submitted the transaction, it may worth DBS to review it. But we want to compliment the staff in the holland
They did an amazing job at handling peak hour queue. I updated my particular which need to be done in a branch, they attended me quickly without needing to use the sit down queue.
visited with my parents (60+) today to withdraw fit notes for cny. we told this to the staff at the front, and they issued us with a queue number. but after ~30 mins of waiting, we were called to the counter — only to be told, quite rudely, that (1) this was the wrong counter, (2) our receipt number was not meant for withdrawing fit notes, and (3) fit notes were "the same as atm notes". firstly, we did not issue ourselves a receipt number; the front-of-house staff did it for us. if it's wrong, whose fault is it? when my mum told this to the counter staff, she just shrugged and repeated herself. secondly, if fit notes are the same as the atm notes, why would my elderly parents have to queue for 30 minutes to withdraw them? there was no queue at the atm, we could've done it ourselves. i understand it's close to cny but the customer service was truly horrific. i don't understand why my parents were being blamed and gaslit into believing fit notes = atm notes, which is clearly not the ca
EVERY YEAR IS THE SAME FOR CNY NEW NOTES WITHDRAWALS. 🤦🤦🤦🤦COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SYSTEM. SIMPLY BOCHAP. Note the high tendency $10 runs out quickly coz it's red and a good denomination to give out to kids. This afternoon I went to q on a grudge after failing the online reservation AGAIN. People all bloody complaining they've waited more than an hour for $10 to be replenished. Some said they've q for 2 hours before. I saw some people with more than 3 transactions coz they're withdrawing from their spouse and kids' card too. 🤦 The online reservation system I think is reserved for treasures and wealth clients! Tried to reserve at 9.05am and is already fully reserved!!!
I like the service at DBS HV as both the staff Nabilah and Suhaida are very nice and helpful. They patiently help me in setting up my ibanking. Despite I am a work permit holder, both made exceptional to help and guide me thru. Appreciate their time and efforts. I leave the branch happily.
