CIH BANK 51 Avenue Mohammed V Marrakech

I came to open a free account (Sayidati or Code 30) as advertised, but the advisor Hiba told me it wasn’t free and that I had to pay 50 MAD per year, forced that option on me, treated me very badly, laughed while saying there’s no free account, and her disrespectful attitude made me feel completely misled.

Went to the bank last Tuesday evening, just before closing time, hoping to deposit a check. They refused to let me in, even though I arrived just minutes before closing. I came back the next day, and when I asked the lady at the front desk when the funds would show in my account, she actually laughed and said it might not appear until next Monday. Apparently, they’re closing for some holiday on Friday. I was honestly shocked at how casually they treated the situation. I deeply regret not opening an account with the same bank my company uses—I could’ve deposited the check there with no issue. CIH really needs to think more about their customers. I was counting on seeing the funds today, especially since there’s no work tomorrow, but now I’m stuck waiting until next week. Very disappointing. Grrrr.

Bad service, nothing unusual. The director is in charge of cashier because they’re understaffed or whatever.

I recommended to my friend that she open a free CIH account like mine, but the advisor Hiba told her that no account was free, imposed 50 MAD per year on her, and above all her way of treating her was so bad that she made me hate CIH Bank forever.

Maybe it's harsh, but it's a shame. The service was incredibly slow. The cashier acted like he was the Minister of Finance, and the security guard spoke with a look he thought we were coming to his house to ask for food. Except for the manager, who was very kind. 🙏
