Pablo was so helpful and helped to get me everything I needed quickly for my visa application. He was super friendly, kind and also went above and beyond to help me which I really appreciated! Marie was also very helpful! I wish I could give them both reviews on their internal system as well since he was so helpful but I still haven’t had the email come through. I am leaving this review to express my gratitude and my overall experience at Barclays Chancery Lane and my deep appreciation for the exceptional help I finally received from Pablo Escobar. My situation began in December 2023 when I opened a Barclays Forward credit card with a very clear intention. I wanted to build my credit profile and eventually upgrade to the Barclaycard Avios Plus card, which suited my lifestyle and travel patterns. For two years I paid on time, used the card responsibly and kept checking the Barclays app to see whether I had become eligible for the upgrade. Nothing ever appeared. There were no explanations, no guidance and no indication of what might be preventing the upgrade. What made this worse was that when I tried asking for help, particularly at my local branch in Cambridge, and then calling the Barclays Premier team and central lines, the staff members I dealt with were unhelpful, dismissive and on several occasions frankly rude. Waiting in line for 15 minutes behind one customer, being served by the one member of client facing staff. No acknowledgment to me, or the ever growing queue. Other staff just looking on. Shabby service, soulless branch.
