Absa, you’ve lost a potential client today I came in today ready to open a new account and credit card, but the lack of service was shocking. Only one teller was assisting while other staff members were busy with everything but the clients sitting in the line. Even after asking for help, they simply redirected me back to the queue waiting for the one working teller. To make matters worse, an older gentleman who arrived well after me was seen to within 5 minutes, while I sat for over an hour before eventually having to leave for work without being helped. It is incredibly disappointing that opening an account is made this difficult. Absa, you may have good products, but you’ve lost a potential client today due to pure inefficiency and a total lack of professional courtesy!

Absolutely Terrible Service – Avoid This Branch! This has to be one of the worst banking experiences I’ve ever had. The Absa branch on Adderley Street is a complete disaster. You sit for ages before anyone even acknowledges you. There are no tellers available, and the few staff members around seem completely overwhelmed. To make matters worse, the branch manager is nowhere to be found, and no one takes responsibility for assisting custo9mers. If you’re in a rush or need quick service — don’t even bother coming here. It’s a waste of time and energy. Absa really needs to do something about this branch. Totally unacceptable! Going through the reviews, you will realize that a lot of customers have been complaining about this very same issue and the bank seems to be doing nothing about it.

Absolutely terrible service, been sitting for an hour with no one attending to me. Only one customer service representative is working and no consultant on site!!

The hostess at the bank was friendly to me and all the other customers. She took the time to ask each person what they were there for and explained what documents they would need, which I find very helpful as there's nothing worse than getting to the front of a queue only to realize you need your proof of ID or address. I was also very impressed that the bank manager saw me personally because all the other customer service agents were busy. Quick, friendly going above and beyond.This is the 3rd time in a row I've had great service from this branch and thought it was time I paid them the compliment

Waiting time is ridiculous. Only one person serving at the Customer service desk yet there is 4 stations!😠
