During my experience with the account opening process, I found that the application is not functioning properly, and the customer service of Yapi Kredi NL had a lack of professionalism and maturity. As this being my third Dutch bank, I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior and service from any CS Dept. in NL. I requested the account opening documents from customer service on Dec 2nd, 2025, and did not receive them until Dec 10th. During that time we had also many calls. After waiting for over a week with no correspondence, I contacted CS again and was informed that my account had been opened without any email or SMS notification. It was subsequently discovered that an employee in the central registry had incorrectly registered my email address. Things can happen, I can understand but there should be a "four-eyes" principle in place when authorizing something as important as personal data, to prevent such errors. Customer Service phones manned only Mon-Fri 9-5!!! Long waiting times in phone queues; VERY hard to reach!!! No internet banking available - in the 21st century!!! Request for money transfer ignored and no reasons given!!! Not sure how to get my money back now that is with them... Not happy at all...
The registration process via the iOS app isn't working. I spent 20 minutes entering all my personal information through the iOS app, and then, at the step for accepting the terms and conditions, I received an "unexpected error message" and couldn't proceed. Customer service told me to apply for a savings account through a form on the website. Well, if it doesn't work, they shouldn't offer the functionality through the app.
Unfortunately, I've had similar experiences. Customer service is difficult to reach; they simply don't answer. Finally, someone answered the phone, who was curt and very unfriendly. The transfer order wasn't processed, and wasn't emailed back, or anything like that. It turned out to be a problem with the bank. I wonder if I'll get my money refunded to my current account. It's a really annoying feeling...
The issue with my market watchlist tab hasn't been resolved for a month. It only works properly around the market close, or rather, after 2 p.m. Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., the app crashes and crashes in this tab. I've reported the issue several times. They asked me to delete and reinstall the app, which I did. It continued normally for a day or two, and then the same thing happened again. 🤦♂️
