Felt that the bank taller (an Indian female) was extremely condescending and made me feel like I wasn’t where I belonged . When going in to enquire about open a business account and to book an appointment to do so, she responded with “well you need a business for that” which my response was of course that’s why I’m here . Then she said “but it has to be a registered business” which my response was yes it’s a legal and a registered business . I received a lot of eye rolling and then she instead that she check it was registered . With the final cherry on top of this uncomfortable situation her work colleague comes along and specks to the taller asking “is it registered “ (while looking at her computer) then looks at me and say “ WOW GOOD ON YOUUUU” like if that doesn’t scream patronising , condescending and being racially profiled I don’t know what is .
