It's a standard location for a bank branch in Tokyo. It's close to Ikebukuro Station on the Seibu Line and has over 10 ATMs. The ATMs are available 24 hours a day for those who have an account with the Resona Group (cash card required).

December 26, 2025 I went to the bank to exchange for new bills. I was told that even account holders would be charged a 220 yen exchange fee, so I didn't exchange any money because I felt it was a waste.

This may be the most tedious bank I've ever used to open an account with. When I went in person, I was told to make an appointment first, so I went home, made an appointment, and went to the bank. I spoke to the woman at the counter, who told me to wait a moment, so I sat down and waited, but the next customer spoke to me first, so I called another woman at reception and she guided me through. I was asked the same question twice on my first visit, and a third time on my second visit: "Why do you want to open an account at the Ikebukuro branch?" I had to give an explanation every time, and it was very persistent. The other questions were also very persistent and long. But the woman at the general reception desk provided excellent customer service
