I am only giving one star because zero is not possible. I have been an LCL client for more than 30 years and now live in London. Every time I try to do an operation on-line they block my access. Unblocking takes a week or more, and dozens of telephone calls. They told me quite clearly that they prefer I close my account. Shame on them. 10/12/2025 - I am replying to their useless reply to my message. Their reply is a confirmation that they are clueless about modern banking systems and about the customers’ needs. This is an answer they have given me numerous times (“it is for your own protection!”) in the many episodes where I spent days trying to unblock my account. This responder clearly did not bother to familiarise themselves with all my comments to the branch during those episodes. 1) A twelve year old would realise that if I am paying a supplier at the same period every year about the same amount, and that the supplier is in my list of approved beneficiaries, there is not

I left very frustrated because the people in charge were not up to the job professionally and also they had no willingness to help at all. They prefer to get rid of the customer with a superb attitude. I recommend not going to this bank.

This LCL Bank Has NO $$$ CASH Reserves!! I was denied any withdrawal request over 2,000 euros for 7 days (they made me return day after day wasting hours of time). The Law requires every bank have reserves on hand. The ACPR which regulates banks in France has been provided documentation about my unresolved bank matter including a police report. Further evidence will likely lead to this LCL bank be shut down immediately by the ACPR. DO NOT CONDUCT BANKING WITH LCL! P.S. Banker named EDMOND DE SOUZA was the bank representative who repeatedly denied any withdrawals from my account. He said their is NO MONEY AT THE BANK!!

A very negative experience with advisor Lina at LCL. She forgot an appointment I had booked and offered no serious explanation, leaving me to rearrange my entire schedule. It's virtually impossible to book a new appointment with her because she always takes several days to reply and is never direct. Her lack of professionalism and consideration for clients' time is unacceptable. I absolutely do not recommend this advisor or this branch as long as this management style remains in place. In the two emails I received from the branch manager, there was no real attempt to resolve the issues I had with my advisor. Instead, the focus was solely on blaming me for "not helping future foreigners" and for leaving two reviews, completely ignoring the actual problems I encountered.
