Since forming my new business Cambridge & Counties (and in particular Paul Howard at their Bristol Office) have been a pleasure to deal with. Cheaper than a bridging provider and just as fast, they are imaginative in looking a deals and very proactive insofar as drawdown is concerned. On term deals they are much more proactive than a bank with speedy response times. Rates are competitive and flexible. They are looking for quality deals only and their due diligence is excellent. A year or so ago had very good interest rates on savings between 0.5% and 0.75% above BOE base rate. However, like most banks these days delivering up less of a service and ripping off the public at every opportunity, Cambridge and Counties have failed miserably to pass on the full extent of base rate increases to their customers over the last 12 months or so, and my two savings accounts are now only paying 2.05% and 2.3% when the BOE base is now 2.25%. So instead of earning +0.5% and +0.75%, now paying 0.2% below base on one account, and only +0.05% on the other. Time to look at moving my funds elsewhere I think...
