So appreciate the service I received from Melody today at this branch on Collins Street. I arrived there just after my wallet, complete with bank card, had been stolen. It wasn't just the important practical stuff she handled quickly; she also did a great job of making me feel she understood my stress. Her warm and sincere manner helped me calm down. Heartfelt thanks!

Website says visit branch to open account. Went to Collins St and was told by female clerk that I would need to book an appointment. Appointment available in 7 days. Went down the road to NAB and opened an account. It was for an aunty who had just arrived from overseas absence and wanted an account to deposit her pension into. I have other accounts with Bendigo bank which I will be closing in the future. Bye Bendigo

Apparently they are understaffed (excuse given) so processing a credit card application will need to be by appointment only.... in 4-5 weeks time.... no thanks. Where other banks and creditcard providers, you can apply online, this is only avail if you are a existing customer or else you need to attend a branch to do so.

Basically two days in a row refused to mark me an account as they said they didn't have the staff. Yet I can walk k to NAB or CBA and start an account within 10 minutes. Their manager told me to come in the next day and I did and once again they said no. I'd bank anywhere but here.

I didn't feel secure using a street-facing ATM, so I walked in to withdraw. Seems fine, just had to pay a fee for the privilege.
