I have banked with Bank of Ireland for 31 years. I never heard that you can not lodge money into your account. My partner had my card a few years ago and lodged money to be told they would take the card away if I did it again. My daughter tried to lodge money she borrowed to my account only to be told she can't do third party lodgement. Then the bank are going to charge a fee for denied standing orders or direct debts. Disgraceful. No loyalty to customers. No reason. No notification. Closed my account. Already making arrangements to move mortgage.
Was in the Ashbourne branch this afternoon There is a very helpful lady called Debbie who is the most friendly, profession and helpful member of staff of all BOI branches I have ever been in - I feel so lucky to have found her. She really does go beyond Her duties to help you..always ask for Debbie would be my advise
