Takes forever to get help. I needed to change my bank status. Went to the counter, 2 staffs with no one in the line. They said I need to go to customer service. There was 2 people in front of me, and no staff. Turns out the staff went to take a look at something. The queue got longer after 15mins, staff returned with a higher level staff. And both took another 10mins to assist one customer. Terrible bank as they require us to be in person to do a lot, while clearly in person I customer service is very under staff. On a Friday!

I left Ireland some years ago, and now, when I tried to withdraw my money, I couldn't find the button on the website. When I explained this to an agent over the phone, they assumed I didn’t know how to use a computer. After a while, and only after the phone agent asked someone else, they realized that my account had been frozen due to inactivity. They told me to send a letter to their office along with some documents. After weeks of waiting, I received a call asking for additional documents that I had no idea how to obtain in my country. Then, some time later, I received an email with different instructions and new document requirements, including notarized documents that had to meet specific criteria. I no longer live in Ireland, and they are making it very difficult for me to withdraw my money and close my account. They never warned me about the possibility of my account being frozen due to inactivity.

Unable to update business account mandate for 4 weeks. If you are planning to do a business in Ireland, run run run away from this bank. This branch definitely knows nothing about efficiency.

I do not have my personal bank account with bank of Ireland but me and my friend tried to open up a bank account for UL society there . The customer service was just horrible. One of my worst experience I must. We had very little knowledge of what paper work it’s need to be done, but we were naively hoping we will recieve help. We went there 3 times ( in all three cases spent an hour in there). First we were given wrong forms and sent home. Second time we were given wrongs forms again and were sent home as well ( because lady working over there did not have even 20 second to answer our question apparently). Than we came back with that “ wrong “ forms third time, were sent home told that everything is ok and we will have our bank account soon. After we arrived home I got phone call saying that not only the forms were wrong but we won’t be able to open in at that particular branch at all. I have to point out, although we are both students we are 2 adult women in their mid 20 and we wer
