Official ID-card from skatteverket (swedish tax agency) is apparently not sufficient at swedbank to prove your identity. Instead of the heavily regulated (and counter-feit resistant) id-card they want you to go get a print-out paper from skatteverket. I heavily suggest a more competent bank where government-issued identifications are accepted as intended. Queue times alone are enough to make that recommendation though.

I needed a Swedish bank account, customer service forwarded me to this branch where I could open my bank account without too much hassle. The people receiving me were super friendly, helpful and professional. Big thumbs up!

Hi there. I recently moved to Sweden and started working. Went to open up bank account... In August with my sumordnings number and work contract.. Bank said come back with proper Swedish ID. Gona open instantly. September. Went back to bank with Swedish ID card. Thank you. You can apply and in 2 weeks gonna receive a letter through mail. 2 weeks later nothing.. 3 weeks also nothing.. Went to bank again.. Applied again.. Now its November and I still haven't received anything. Seriously poor attitude towards new costumers... Is it because I'm from England? Same time my colleague opened bank account next to me... INSTANTLY. Joke not a bank.

The opening hours is unacceptable & the staff WHO work here are just terrible at there Jobs
