Opening hours: 13:00 -16:00 🤯?! I was here 12:55 and already have 60 people waiting in front of me. Just as bad as the opening hours is the fact that, like me, many elderly people are waiting outside —some with walkers, rollators, or crutches. The entire indoor space is full, and there aren’t enough seats. Beyond that—what’s it going to be like in winter? Will people be expected to wait 1.5 hours outside in a snowstorm? It’s not just that I, as someone younger, find these opening hours and the overall customer service appalling—it’s also deeply troubling to see how the elderly in our society are being treated. All this “we do things digital and if you are one of the unfortunate who has no access to certain things, you have a problem” is deeply worrying.
The bank offers basic services however it is not the best bank in Sweden. One of my struggles is that it is literally impossible to reach their customer service line. I switched banks and after my account with swedbank was cancelled I noticed that the house insurance was still charging me. I tried to call customer service line but you always start at number 20something in the queue and the line hangs up automatically after 45 minutes. I tried over 13 times, you always get to around number 7 in the queue and then you reach the 45 min mark. There is no email and no way to obtain help without physically going to the bank.
I would never recommend this bank to ANY person who has any business abroad. I wanted to open an account there with all needed documents, valid job contract too. They did, here it went quite smoothly. But the problem they have is the international transfers. In XXI century I need to go to the bank personally and explain why exactly I want to transfer my own legally earned money, of which I paid all taxes, to my account in other country. I feel this is invading my privacy even if I do nothing wrong, just having mortgage in other country...
Avoid this bank like the plague. If you have an account there move to another bank, if you have a loan there consider other options. Bad service, incompetent customer support. Even the ombudsman is doing is best to not help you. No no no
I went there to start an account since I recently moved from a different country. The staff were not helpful and worst experience. There was a guy in the reception with lot of piercings and when I asked him questions regarding the documents needed,he was so rude.I ended up in choosing a different bank and thought it will be very difficult if I need any assistance after starting the account.I thought if I make a better choice now then I don’t have to worry in future.
