ASB Queenstown Branch Shop 47, Five Mile Centre 20 Grant Road

Mixed feelings about this bank. Went in to open an account and was sent away and told to do it all online. Went back after finally opening an account online (still waiting on a card so can’t spend anything) and wanted to deposit cash into another ASB account and they advised there’s a fee. Even though I am an ASB customer and so is the recipient. They wanted to take the fee out of my ASB account but I requested to pay cash for the fee and that obviously made it too difficult as they then waived the fee. Anyway, the clock on the wall was wrong both days I went in. Apparently ASB is stuck in the year 2020 as it had Friday 13 March (15/3) and Thursday 26 March (28/3). Suggest they fix that as it gives little confidence to its customers… if the bank can’t get the date right, how can they be trusted with money? Hmm…

Very polite and friendly staff. I would highly recommend people to go to this ASB if they are with ASB and have a problem with something with their bank account or something or are in. When I was stressed they just smiled and said no its not you at all,its probably some other problem! And the Brazilian lady Marina was very friendly,polite and helpful as well and even opened the door for me when I left,definitely would recommend her if I was her referee in a job,very kind,had a smile on her face and was extremely patient when I was slow and shook my hand after we both introduced ourselfs and told me she'd keep an eye out of me at Pak N Save which is extremely kind,its nice be known for good stuff! Keep up the good work team you guys are amazing,the best ASB I've been to by far

After being told it by ANZ would take 5 weeks to get an account open we walked across the street to ASB. 4 days later account is fully active. Ellie provided fantastic customer service with a lovely smile, helped us through any questions we had and assisted with filling out all paperwork. Thanks so much!

Horrible service, misleading, won’t admit they did something wrong,not helpful at all.
