The service at the ABSA Hermanus branch is extremely poor and deeply disappointing. On multiple occasions, there has been only one teller available to assist a long queue of customers. As a result, waiting times are excessive, with customers often spending several hours — sometimes most of the day — just to receive basic assistance. The lack of adequate staffing and effective queue management creates unnecessary frustration and reflects poor branch management. This level of service is unacceptable for a major bank and does not meet reasonable customer expectations. ABSA urgently needs to address staffing levels and operational efficiency at this branch. Until meaningful improvements are made, I would not recommend using this branch for in-person banking.

Most helpfull and professional service with a smile. Leandra Fransman was extremely helpfull and kind. Solved my problems out in less than 10 min. Highly recommend ABSA Hermanus

I only rate a 1 as there is no option of a 0. Dreadful experience there re forex. The one person capable of assisting is on leave for the next 3 weeks. Its hard to believe that the other staff swanning around are incapable of redeeming some foreign currency. Now, I have to go to Somerset West. Meanwhile, Customer "Services" had 1 person on duty. Really, really poor.

The branch is severely understaffed. It is rare to find more than two staff members assisting at customer service, despite a constant queue of around ten people. Adding just one more person would significantly reduce the waiting times. No customer should be expected to wait over an hour to be served. Additionally, it seems reasonable that staff members behind the banking cubicles could assist during peak periods. While many services have moved online, this should not come at the expense of quality in-branch service. Unfortunately, the current service levels suggest otherwise. The consistently poor reviews and an alarming branch rating of just 2.9 reflect this ongoing problem. It is disappointing that this feedback appears to go unaddressed. 😡

Very long waiting gueue and only 2 people assisting???? We cannot sit in the bank for 3 + hours very time...
