Disappointed with Service at Westpac Manukau Field City Centre Branch I wanted to share a frustrating experience I had today at the Westpac Manukau Field City Centre branch. We went there to open a joint account, arriving well before the 4:30 PM closing time. Despite this, we were told no one was available to assist us — not even briefly — because all staff were on calls with clients who had appointments. Walk-ins, we were told, simply couldn’t be helped. It was disheartening to be turned away without any effort to accommodate us or offer an alternative. We were willing to wait, and opening a basic account shouldn’t be a major task. The dismissive attitude made us feel like we weren’t valued as potential customers, just because we didn’t have an appointment. I understand that appointments help manage time, but some flexibility for walk-ins — especially when staff are visibly present — should still be part of good customer service. Amazing customer service from Botany Town Centre staff specially from Alessandra. Can't speak the same thing about other branches like Highland Park and north shore.

What an absolute joke. Applied for an Everyday account just for general purpose transactions. An unfriendly lady called me and told me it's not possible if I don't intend to put my salary into it or use it as a Savings account. Never heard of such nonsense in my life. Not helped by the lady's unfriendly attitude on the phone.
