HNB Kotahena (Hatton National Bank) 280 George R. De Silva Mawatha Colombo 13

Both my creditcards got retained by there ATM machine on Sunday. I went to the bank right when opening (9am) the following Monday. My request was taken seriously immediatly by the madame at the desk responsible and all actions were taken to get my cards back asap. At 11 am I have gotten a call an got my cards back at 11.30 am. So this went very smooth and professionally.

in Kotahena branch there are 2 ATM and 1 Deposit machine, since this place is filled up with many business organization its a busy place but the manager doesn't care about his customers need. if the machine is out of order the manager should make arrangement to repair / fill cash / get out the cash else he should be organized according to data but sitting in the AC room for over night will not work. we are not allow to deposit cash inside the bank if this is less than 200k hence we have to wait in the que for hours since these place is filled with people with lots of cash to many A/C by one person.

One of the worst bank in kotahena, Poor Customer service , only one staff is working on cash deposits and withdrawals , very poor. Waiting for almost 1 hour ❌

Customer Feedback – Kotahena Branch I would like to express my appreciation for Mr. Param, the previous manager at the Kotahena branch. He was highly professional, supportive, and always ensured excellent customer service. His dedication truly made a positive difference. However, I’m disappointed with the current service under the new manager, Mr. Ranjith. He does not provide the same level of support to customers, and it has affected the overall experience at the branch. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve customer service standards again.

The HNB Kotahena branch is always very crowded, but despite the rush, the staff is doing an excellent job of handling all customer requests with great dedication and efficiency. They remain attentive, ensuring that everyone gets the assistance they need. The branch also has dedicated road parking for HNB customers, which is very convenient.
