I came in without any appointment. I was asked for my Anmeldung, Tax ID, Passport. They did the photocopies. I had already filed in my online application form. And that's it! Everyone is English speaking so super smooth process!!

I had a very poor experience at this Commerzbank branch. Two female employees were extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked about my account, the first one threatened to delete it just because I didn’t have my passport with me. She also made false claims about my residency status. Then, another female employee accused me of causing trouble simply for being male and even threatened to call the police without reason. The service was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this branch.

During our two years living in Schöneberg, the Commerzbank branch in Schöneberg was by far the best support we had for anything related to banking – and a big reason for that was Nalan. For any expat moving to Berlin and struggling to navigate banking processes in English, this branch is an absolute gem. They offer English-speaking service, which is rare and incredibly helpful, and Nalan was like a guardian angel to us. She was always kind, patient, and truly committed to helping us. No matter the situation, she went out of her way to make things easier and made our stay in Berlin just a little bit smoother. Highly recommend this branch – and if you’re lucky enough to be assisted by Nalan, you’re in the best hands.

I have not been a fan of this bank during my time in Germany; I feel they are very out of date, and have been overtaken by the new breed of banks here. However, I arrived without an appointment yesterday and as an English speaker was helped by a very competent, friendly individual called Nico. He followed up with my query and brought it to a successful conclusion. Customer service in Berlin is something to be desired quite honestly but for once the customer experience was very professional and friendly - Nico should be recognised for his patience and his professional help.
