The Filipino lady who worked today at the front (I came in on Dec 10 around 1 pm) was very nonchalant about a stressful situation I have been going through. Last evening someone tried to withdraw money from my BMO account — there were 5 attempts of $80. I received a call from BMO Fraud, and they asked if I did those transactions. I said that I did not, and they advised me to come to a local branch to get a new debit card. When I came to this branch and explained everything to her, she said “OK, I will give you a new card and will need you to sign some papers.” I wanted to double-check the amounts that are on hold, and she seemed kind of discreet about it. Then I asked for the total amount in my account, and again she avoided the question and instead started naming my transactions from the beginning of this month (I did not ask for that — I’m not sure if it’s because of limited English comprehension). Well, it took me a while to bring myself writing a review. As a CEO I totally understand the challenges, problems and responsibilities that a bank manager might face on a daily basis, but this bank manager person, Dawn John unlocked the bank in the morning showing a negative attitude and barely responded to the customers entering the bank saying hello and good morning, I thought what could have gone possibly so wrong that made her not to have proper interaction with the customers. Anyway, I gave five stars to appreciate a relatively new staff to this branch, Kendrick, as his excellent professional conduct should be an example for other bank staff regardless of rank, age and experience. Kendrick is very knowledgeable and have superb problem solving skills. I was very happy after my appointments with him and I am sure all off his clients are impressed with his customer service.

I had an appointment with Kendrick today at 12. i got to the branch at 11:50 and told the lady at the counter that I had a 12 o’clock appointment with him. I waited until 12:15, then went back again and told them one more time still, no one showed up. Honestly, I’m not even surprised this branch has a 2.9 rating anymore. They honestly deserve a 1.it was really disappointing.

I went to deposit some cash for a bill that came out today, so I go to the ATM, like I always do, deposit the money, it starts counting. Only this time it took a while longer than usual, the atm malfunctioned, it didn’t register my deposit, I didn’t get a service error or anything. Which is whatever, so I go to the desk to try and get my money back, only to be told this is the second instance of something like this happening today, like put up a note or something, turn the machine off for crying out loud. We don’t need more people going through what I did The teller wasnt very sympathetic either Atleast they didn’t appear sympathetic. Idk I'm furious And The best they can do is a service request for tomorrow? My bill was due today and would have been paid! This is Total BS, they’ll happily charge me an NSF after this though. Only after depositing a cheque to this location have I ever had my 1st cheque being held for 7 days. For a measely 500 bucks. Ive deposited cheques for 10 and 50 thousand with no issue. Clearly something wrong with this branch and the people working there. I will be closing my account over this. Ive been with BMO over a decade and Ive never experienced this before. I suggest everyone do their banking with another company as BMO has sold out and the people they hire will go out of their way to show they hold power and complicate banking for you. Specially this location. Ive never had an issue anywhere else in 15 years.
