Alison and Noha have gone above and beyond for me. I was nervous with first time transactions and they walked me through it and put my mind at ease. I am very grateful
Noha is the absolute best bank manager I have ever dealt with in comparison with all financial institutions. Not only is she congenial and enjoyable to talk to, she chooses to handle a matter herself rather than delegate. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Conveniently located just off Lomas Santa Fe Dr., this bank is clean, feels safe, and is staffed by friendly, knowledgeable tellers. There is one ATM outside if you need quick cash. Tip: when turning into the bank, you need to turn into the First Citizens Bank parking lot. There is no sign for Citibank on the main street.
I love Citibank being a person that transitions back and forth from and to Mexico this bank allows you to withdraw money there free of charge.
Self serve ATM and to wherever I have been staff is always well trained and are super friendly and willing to help no matter what.
I am giving 5 star as Dylan Sharp came out of his way to help me out with my needs and was able to get me sorted. This is exactly how customer service should look like, ha is amazing and I highly recommend him.
I am calling this branch today for updating my new cell phone number as I changed a new phone with a new number. The customer representative asked information to verify my identity. She said she will send a verify code to my cell phone number. I said this phone call is to update my phone number and I stopped using my old phone number. How could you send a verify code to my old phone? I provided her with my Social Security Number or my driver's license, they couldn't do anything to update my phone number. They transfer my phone to another customer service, and I was holding on the phone waiting for over 30 minutes, and I couldn't understand what the lady said because of her strong accent. I was on the phone over ONE hour and couldn't have my phone number updated. DISAPPOINTED!
I was attacked by a customer's dog inside the lobby. I was about 25 ft. away when the owner dropped the leash & never tried to stop the dog. Luckily I had my hiking boots and tried to kick as it came after me a few times. Staff never bothered to inquire how I was. They were too busy "rewarding" the dog for bad behavior
The Citibank branch at 352 H st in Chula Vista exemplifies banking at its worst. After a 25-minute wait, teller sneered "You should know how deposits work" when I inquired about their inconsistent check-clearing policies. Some checks clear in 24 hours, others inexplicably take 5+ days—a practice they refuse to explain. Both ATMs have been "temporarily out of service" consistently since September, forcing customers into understaffed lines. My formal complaint about the teller's unprofessionalism, submitted months ago, remains unacknowledged. Even by big bank standards, this branch's combination of technical failures, staff hostility, and administrative opacity is remarkable. Save yourself the frustration—the Chase branch two blocks away actually has functioning ATMs and staff who remember they're in the service industry.
I’ve used this Citi branch for my company’s banking for many years, mainly because it’s closest to my office. The service has consistently been poor, with long waits, rude staff, and unhelpful interactions. Today they refused a deposit because checks and money orders lacked the full business name, even though they’ve accepted them this way for over a decade. The teller, Kevin, said a policy requiring the full name was implemented yesterday, yet also claimed it has “always” been the policy and that they just weren’t doing things the right way before. When I asked why clients weren’t notified, the manager admitted they hadn’t had time to contact everyone, which a simple generic email could have solved. I strongly recommend using other branches, such as Mission Valley or Otay Lakes, where the staff are professional, courteous, and prioritize customer service.
The staff is so rude. The attitude and attention is not professional at.all. The manager Xiomara doesn't even take you to the side, she yells over the counter exposing your business to everyone there. No privacy, no customer service professional at all.
