Santander Bank Routing Number (2026) — ACH, Wire & Direct Deposit
Use the routing number printed on your own check — the first group of nine digits in the bottom-left corner. It is the only number guaranteed to be right for your account. Santander Bank has more than one, and no list on any website can tell which one is yours. Your Santander Bank app and online banking show it too, and 1-877-768-2265 will confirm it. A wrong routing number sends your money to the wrong institution.
We are deliberately not printing a single "Santander Bank routing number" for direct deposit. The Federal Reserve registers 32 numbers to Santander Bank, N.A. and only one of them belongs to your account. The number on the bottom-left of your own check is the only authoritative answer.
Why Santander Bank has the routing numbers it does
Santander Bank, N.A. is the US retail bank formerly known as Sovereign Bank, which is why its SWIFT code still begins SVRN. It is a distinct legal entity from Banco Santander S.A. in Spain and from Banco Santander International in Miami, both of which also appear in US payment directories. Money sent to the Spanish parent's SWIFT code will not reach a Santander Bank, N.A. account in Massachusetts or Pennsylvania, and this confusion is the single most common Santander transfer error.
Santander Bank routing numbers registered with the Federal Reserve
Each row below is a live record from the Federal Reserve's Fedwire participant directory. The location column is the Fedwire telegraphic location the Federal Reserve holds for that number — the Fed's own processing site for it. For a bank this size it is not the state whose accounts use the number, and it should not be read as one. Nothing on this page can tell you which of these is attached to your account: use the nine digits printed on the bottom-left of your own check.
| Routing number | Registered to | Fedwire location | Fed district | Networks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 231372691 | SANTANDER | Wilmington, DE | Philadelphia | Wire ACH |
| 011075150 | SANTANDER | Wyomissing, PA | Boston | Wire ACH |
The Federal Reserve additionally registers 30 ACH-only routing numbers to Santander Bank, N.A. that are not eligible for Fedwire. These are almost entirely legacy numbers inherited from acquired institutions and are still valid for receiving direct deposit, but cannot be used to receive a wire. We do not list them individually because the only one that matters is the one printed on your own check.
A routing number sends money to an institution, not to a person. If it is wrong the payment goes somewhere else. Before you transact, confirm the number against the bottom-left of your own check, your Santander Bank app, or Santander Bank's official page.
Which number do you actually need?
| You are doing this | Use | Arrives |
|---|---|---|
| Setting up direct deposit or paying a bill | The ACH number on your check | 1–3 business days |
| Receiving a domestic wire | Ask the bank | Same business day |
| Receiving money from outside the US | SVRNUS33 (SWIFT/BIC) | 1–5 business days |
US accounts do not have IBANs. If an overseas sender's form demands one, that form was built for Europe — give them the SWIFT/BIC plus your routing and account number instead. See SWIFT vs routing number.

Santander Bank routing number — questions
What is the Santander Bank routing number?
There is no single one. The Federal Reserve registers 32 routing numbers to Santander Bank, N.A., mostly inherited from banks it has acquired. For direct deposit use the nine digits on the bottom-left of your own check.
Which of the 32 Santander Bank routing numbers is mine?
We cannot tell you from a list, and neither can anyone else. Santander Bank, N.A. has 32 routing numbers registered with the Federal Reserve, most of them inherited from banks it acquired, and which one is attached to your account depends on the institution and branch that opened it. The nine digits in the bottom-left corner of your own check are the answer; your Santander Bank app and online banking show the same thing, and 1-877-768-2265 will confirm it. Do not pick one off a list because it matches your state.
Is the Santander Bank wire routing number the same as the ACH number?
Not always. ACH routing numbers move direct deposits and bill payments over the automated clearing house, usually settling in one to three business days. Wire routing numbers move same-day funds over Fedwire. Of the 32 numbers the Federal Reserve registers to Santander Bank, N.A., 2 are Fedwire-eligible and 30 are ACH-only. Using an ACH-only number for an incoming wire is one of the most common reasons transfers are returned.
What is the Santander Bank SWIFT code?
Santander Bank publishes the SWIFT/BIC code SVRNUS33 for international transfers. SWIFT codes are not held in the Federal Reserve routing directory, so we cannot verify this against the Fed the way we verify routing numbers — confirm it with the bank before an overseas sender uses it.
How do I find my own Santander Bank routing number?
Read the first group of nine digits in the bottom-left corner of a check, open your account details in the Santander Bank app or online banking, or call 1-877-768-2265. Any of these three is specific to your account; a general list is not.
How we checked this page
Every routing number above was read directly from the Federal Reserve Banks' E-Payments Routing Directory — the FedACH and Fedwire participant directories, which are the systems of record for US routing numbers. We query both directories by institution name, keep only records the Federal Reserve returns under Santander Bank, N.A., and validate every number against the ABA check-digit formula. Numbers that fall out of the directory are removed rather than carried forward. We do not publish a number we could not confirm.
SWIFT/BIC codes are not part of the Federal Reserve directory and are shown as published by the bank itself, labelled as such. Last checked against the Federal Reserve directory on 29 July 2026.
