Absa | Branch | Kingsmead Convention House cnr Florence Nzama Street and Dunford Road South Beach

I visited Absa Bank yesterday the 28th of May 2024 at around 3:10 PM to send money via Western Union. Unfortunately, my encounter with the foreign exchange staff left much to be desired. Here’s why: Rude Behavior: The staff member, an Indian gentleman, seemed dismissive from the start. His tone and body language conveyed that I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. Unprofessional Outburst: When I moved a chair to sit more comfortably, he shouted at me. Regardless of any perceived mistake, shouting at a customer is unacceptable. Lack of Apology: Not only did he fail to apologize for his behavior, but he also informed me that they were closing at 3:30 PM and couldn’t assist me. Had I arrived 15 minutes earlier, he claimed he would have helped. Overall Disappointment: This experience has left me with a negative impression of Absa bank. I appreciate the attempt to direct me to another branch, but it doesn’t excuse the poor treatment. I’ll give them one star for the effort to

Very disappointed by their service, i stood in the que for 10 minutes, then when it was my turn the lady by the name of Charlotte said she is assisting me, she got up and left, i waited for 30 minutes until i asked other staff to look for her, they looked and found she had left to talk to her friend at outside parking and she forgot about me. She did not come back. So i spent a total of 45 wasted minutes and left with no assistance whatsoever.

Only one staff attending to customer service. The que is so long. The very one per is getting disturbed now, and again by Absa staff coming from inside the offices. She will never get finish one customer. This is not the kind of service customers deserve. I'm not used to vising banks but I remember there, were staff going on the que to check reason for customer visit. That is no more. I am here merely to collect credit card. Must I wait for 2-3 hours for that!

Terrible experience. They only have 1 cashier. When he's not well or family emergencies we get sent away
