How can 16 people wait in the que for one teller. The worst bank. Absa is a shame. They have no heart for their customers. The staff working here is like they are a retirement home. Old people,they dont give a damn that people must wait and sit in a bank for three hours. The teller that is working is like someone who needs a slap to wake up. Sliw motion. Never ever,no never I would use this bank or refer anyone to join the retirement home in N1 city. They are the worst.

Always long queues. For a 5 minute transaction I had to wait 1 and half hours to see a customer service agent. On another occasion, I came to collect my new bank card. I received a notification that it is ready for collection. I had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes just to collect my card. In this day and age ABSA is lagging far behind its competitors when it comes to customer service and operational efficiency. Hence I moved my salary over to Capitec. Zero problems encountered with them for the 10 years I've had my savings account with them.

Came into the branch today to discuss forex and get some advice. 2 staff members asked us to wait at the wrong counter. Your other older floor staff took the time to hear us out and offered advice. Thank you to the lady

It is now several years that I observe the same thing at this branch. There is never enough staff to deal with customer querries. Having to wait for over an hour just to collect a bank card is totally unacceptable.

My last visit to Absa N1 city was very disappointing. I was 18th in line, and it took me 3 hours to get help from a service consultant. They only had 3 ladies at the help desks,even though there were 5 help deks, During lunchtime, there were only 2... making turns taking their break. Every now and then, some of the consultants would help. The elderly in wheelchairs also go to the front of the line, making the wait longer. I waited my turn and got helped just before closing time. The lady who tried to help me was kind, patient, and professional, but I left with my issue unresolved. At closing time there was still over 10 customers in line just to be told they have to leave, surely Absa should have a cut off time to inform their clients in line that they will not be helped, instead of wasting their time waiting in a line that they will not be served. I have been with Absa for 21 years, and their customer helpline and banking services have never been worse.
