Brilliant experience applying for an ID here. Fast and efficient- but important to know that the Home Affairs processing is at the FNB branch in Somerset Rd (43 Somerset) and NOT Portside! Don’t make the mistake we did 😁

DO NOT EVER GIVE THEM YOUR DETAILS. YOU WILL BE SPAMMED AND NEVER REMOVED. I HAVE ASKED COUNTLESS TIMES AND ALSO REQUESTED PROOF OF OPTING IN, WEEKS GO BY AND IM STILL FIGHTING. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS THEY WILL SEND YOU GENERIC MESSAGES AND NOT WAIT AROUND FOR A RESPONSE. YOU WONT BE ABLE TO GET HOLD OF THEM AND WHEN YOU DO, ANOTHER GENERIC MESSAGE ABOUT HOW SORRY THEY ARE AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND HOW THEY ARE DEALING WITH IT, THIS GOES ON AND ON BUT NOTHING EVER GETS DONE. DO YOU WANT THAT FROM YOUR BANK, A BANK THAT YOU TRUST WITH YOUR MONEY, THE CHOICE IS YOURS. Understaffed and very slow. Managers don’t seem to care and as big as this branch is, they run skeleton staff so when they say wait is estimated at 5 min they really mean 25 min. If you in a rush this is not the branch for you. In fact it’s probably not the bank for you. I’m 27 min into my wait right now and FNB have given me so much time, I even had the chance to write this review. Still waitin

I can never understand the concept of having one teller/assistant in the morning at the bank, whilst the rest of the staff sit on chairs and watch the clients/customers wait in line for 30min or more. The idea that people have to wait to get served in banks is just poor service that no one should tolerate.

Closed this morning until 11. No explanation given. Having a hard time trying to get my ID between home affairs shoddy website and inability to get assistance from fnb, will have to make a 3rd trip there tomorrow.

Frustrating experience waiting over 90minutes to get a student loan approved. Your staff are friendly, but aren't properly trained to use your systems.
