We had a very disappointing experience with NAB, particularly at the Liverpool branch. Over the years, we were scammed multiple times and the bank failed to detect or stop the fraudulent transactions until a significant amount of money had already been taken. Each time, we were the ones who noticed and reported the fraud. The worst experience happened three years ago when I went to the Liverpool branch to transfer a large amount of money for our home settlement. I provided all the correct details, but the staff member entered the last three digits incorrectly and transferred our money to the wrong person. When I returned the next day, the branch manager was rude and unhelpful and even told us we might not get the money back. Because settlement was due, we had to transfer another large amount to avoid losing the property. We had to call repeatedly for weeks before the funds were finally returned. I went into the Liverpool branch to open a trust account for myself and my partner and was greeted by the lovely Pamela. Her friendly personality and politeness immediately made us feel comfortable, and we were able to trust her throughout the ID verification process. Despite a few issues, she handled everything calmly and managed to get it all sorted manually. Pamela was very thorough in explaining the next steps and advised me to reach out to her directly if I didn’t hear from anyone so she could follow up. She even went out of her way to set up an everyday transaction account and a savings account for us. I would highly recommend her services to anyone interested in opening an account with NAB. I recently opened accounts for my kids with NAB and the service was excellent. The staff were professional, friendly, and made the whole process very easy. I also had an online dispute with Accor, who wouldn’t refund my money, and NAB were extremely supportive in helping me resolve it. I really appreciate their professionalism and great customer service — highly recommend NAB.

Yesterday I received a phone call from the Manager at the Liverpool branch of NAB in Sydney. I was very reluctant to speak with him about the issues he needed to confirm because of the ever increasing amount of scams. Phone calls went backwards and forwards to give me the reassurance I needed that it was indeed a legitimate phone call. I cannot thank the Manager enough for his patience and understanding in this matter… if there were more people like yourself employed in the banking sector I’m sure there would be a lot less disgruntled customers! First they don’t open on time, and when they tell you to wait for someone who can help with loans, they’ll ignore you from there.
