NAB Branch 600 Chapel Street South Yarra

Nab is the most absolute worst ever, I received some settlement from an authentic agent, and they just decide to block my card and internet banking probably they saw my Chinese name and thinking a Chinese guy shouldn’t have that much money in the account, after so many calls with the customer service and they did nothing rather than a lot of super personal questions, I felt like I get treated like a dog. They I went to this branch, after around half an hour waiting they put me on the line in their office just so another lady can tell me I look so suspicious and she doesn’t think I should have that much money and still refuse to unlock my card, I try to provide more info to prove that the transaction from my agent is correct, but the lady in the phone keeps saying she don’t need it and insist me to wait for 48 hours to then contact them for further information. This is totally crazy! How can a bank treat its customer like this?

I had a great experience with Kristin at the bank. She was extremely professional, thorough, and provided excellent customer service. It’s a good company to bank with and have been with them for many years but this constant issue with the cash exchange being out of service (this time 2 days in a row once at 4.30pm yesterday and today at 6.30pm). This makes business banking unnecessarily difficult for those of us who require to do this outside of hours regularly. Please sort this out!

If you wanted to learn how to lose customers, you could learn it quite quickly at this store- they just convinced me to cancel my accounts/insurances and move to another bank. Long waits in line as staff harass customers to buy products (insurance) that they don’t need or want, then incompetent unwilling staff who refuse to serve you if it’s close to closing time🥴 Surprised a publicly listed company would permit this astonishingly poor service. Don’t bother reaching out NAB- go do a ‘phantom shopper’ for yourself.
