After being told by Westpac that I needed to go to ANZ for change as I’m not a customer, I came here to get some change for my café. I am an ANZ customer and have been for 20 years, and this experience is enough to make me change banks. I waited for 10 minutes to be served while being mostly ignored while waiting. When the tall, blonde server finally bothered to ask me what I wanted, it felt like she was talking to some street trash. I run a local business and needed change, I’m a longtime customer and was treated with disdain. I said I needed to get some change, to which I was promptly told, we don’t have any money here. I thought I was at a bank, my mistake. I’m giving one star, as I can’t give negative stars. If you want to be treated like trash, this is the bank for you.
I can't believe the level of incompetency these people have. Front desk woman thinks she owns your time (she really needs to learn interpersonal skills for a customer service position and change her I hate this job face). Got there and I was supposedly added to the waiting list. I waited there for a long time. Then, a couple of people arrive and queue for registering with the front desk person. An executive comes out and instead of calling me, because I was at the top of the waiting list, she grabs the person that was waiting to be registered. I stood up and asked why not me, and the front desk woman says to me 'it seems we skipped you because I didn't add you to the waiting list correctly. I better book you for another day', not even an apology
I have been dealing with this lovely Lady Mandy, at the ANZ Bank South Melbourne. We are not ANZ Bank customers, however we had quite a complicated issue dating back to 2016. Mandy was extremely helpful and even stated that she was working through her lunch hour to sort out some questions when she rang me. This whole process took about 2 days, and yesterday we met face to face and the matter was resolved. Mandy was patient with both my husband and myself, answered all our questions, and it was such a pleasure to deal with her. no rush, went way beyond time, Thank you so much. I would highly recommend dealing with Mandy any time. Congratulations Mandy - I am sure you will do well in any role at any bank. your customer satisfaction was clear to us. If I could give zero stars I would. After walking 30 mins to get to a branch, then waiting 15 minutes in line, the guy refused to do a simple ID check for a credit card because he didn’t want to keep the one other person in line waiting. Even though the person in front of me was 15 mins or more being served. So rude. Never had a worse experience at a bank.
Great once you get to speak to a staff member but the ANZ, like all big banks, is trying to get to zero customer service. Have just watched them turn away two elderly people who needed help. No appointment, which you have to be tech savvy to make. It’s cruel. Staff then asked someone not to yell at her. But he wasn’t: it was clearly just how he spoke. Being here is painful to watch.
