Horrible customer service!! If you're not a client of Banco de Chile they just don't care! Here's the story: Because of a malfunction (ATM re-booted itself with no prior warning) my credit card got stuck in an Banco-de-Chile-ATM on a Sunday morning. We tried to call the emergency hotline. However the number indicated on the ATM wasn't working. So we googled for the real support line. We found two: one that's only occupied from Monday to Friday and a 24/7 one that is only for clients of Banco de Chile. We waited till Monday and called the first one. They said that they are not in charge of ATM-related problems and gave us another phone number. We called there like 10 times and got really frustrated: the line wasn't occupied, they just didn't pick up! After several times trying a lady finally did, but hung up on me after approximately 20 seconds when she asked me "are you a client of Banco de Chile?" (my answer: "no") and "are you a foreigner?" (my answer: "yes"). She wouldn't even liste

This bank is garbage, I left them a message saying I didn't want anymore of their promotions for their cuentaFan and their system for unsubscribing doesn't work. A woman from the bank called just to tell me that she can't do anything about it and I need to go to a physical location to fix the problem that they caused. Complete trash bank, I would never open an account with them.

I visited mainly to enjoy its main building, which is truly architecturally stunning. I was surprised that, aside from the beauty of this building, the banking services were completely accessible. But, returning to its structure, it's practically a living museum, enjoying proper care and, again, a beauty that I highly recommend visiting. A wonderful place where you can dream of being in a place that takes you back in time, feeling like you're part of our heritage. Don't hesitate to visit.
