HNB Ja-Ela (Hatton National Bank) 73 Negombo Road Ja-Ela

Recently visited to open a bank account, after taling a token had to wait for 30 minutes to get called for the counter, that's fine too then after filling bunch of documents waited for 2 hours for other processes. After a long wait the they told me that my ID's birth date does not match with the System, they said they double checked, they could've told me that before 2 hours and when that girl was doing our work she was walking here and there for other work, we had to stare at a n empty counter for a long time. To check this system issue I called the registrar of persons, they told me to get a request letter from the bank and send my documents as well to check the system they also told that couldn't be. Later when I asked for a letter they gave me a paper to request a letter from them. After I wrote and gave it to them they told me that the bank does not give such letters and have not issued them ever. They could've told me that before writing the letter, another 30 minites was wasted

Very poor customer service. Even for small things you have to wait more than a hour. Very bad service.

I experienced hell today standing in the que for no reason. Also one counter was totally free and the lady at the counter was just enjoying talking to the person who was at the next counter Making fun out of customers by causing inconvenience One of the NASTIEST PRIVATE SECTOR BANKS I've dealt with 😡🤬🤢🤮

Very poor service 😢 had to stand in line for 30 minutes to cash a cheque. I came at 1.30. only one serving at the counter. Others wondering here and there. Do not care about the their customers. Very poor service. Everyone should be ashamed to do like this.

Can’t make your lost bank account passbook that opened from other branches . I asked why, then the answere is they not have enough new passbooks in these days to give a new one. What a shame if I can give zero stars I definitely give zero or minors 👎🏻
